My work here is divided into three themes.
Moments to Pause
Breathwork, meditation and yoga provide you with the opportunity to pause and take a moment for yourself. Just spending one full minute focusing on your breath can shift you to a place of anxiety to calmness, it can be the difference to not sleeping to feeling more relaxed before you go to sleep. As a breathwork, meditation and yoga teacher the first thing I will teach you is to connect to your breath. The more connected you are to your breath, the more relaxed your mind will become and the more relaxed your mind is the body will feel relaxed too. This is Yoga, the connection of the mind, body and breath.
I have been a qualified yoga and meditation teacher since 2017 and trained in pregnancy yoga in 2018. I have led a number of classes and workshops since then across the Greater Manchester area.
At present I am not holding any classes but would like to invite you to a private group The Soulful Sanctuary, which is a little corner of Facebook that provides you with moments to pause through the week. The group is full of positive words of affirmation, poetry, colour with some free content to enjoy too on breath work, the chakra system, mudras. I also hold a free monthly meditation for you to take a moment, be with yourself to breath without interruption leaving you feeling relaxed, a sense of peace, harmony and wellbeing.
Possibility and Potential
Here you will find a number of self- directed personal development courses, with the option of accessing a coaching program on an individual basis.
Becoming a transformational health coach in 2018 I wanted to support people who were stressed, busy and wanted to make some life changes. Since starting this journey my work has become so much more here and is geared towards you understanding yourself more and if you want to access that limitless potential you hold with confidence.
Workplace Wellness and Thriving cultures
With our human possibility and potential in mind we need somewhere to go with all that energy, we need workplaces that recognise your own unique talent and skill and be prepared to encourage and develop your potential. However it is well documented that within the workplace we are facing difficulties on a daily basis. Our working environments are not set up in a way that supports us as human beings. Health and Safety Executive research has found that 1 in 5 people have reported being “very” stressed or “extremely” stressed in the workplace, and that stress, anxiety and depression nationally lead to more than 11.5 million lost working days each year.
My ambition here is to advocate for our workplaces to be better at supporting us as humans through writing and teaching. Recently teaching in Universities to our future leaders I promote working towards cultures that allow us to feel supported, valued and protected, which allows us as humans to feel safe and empowered leading to feelings of positivity, motivation, passion and energy in all we do. Bringing a health and life coach perspective along with my own work and life experiences workplace health needs to be considered in holistic terms, our workplace health is so much more than our mental being, its about encompassing all the human elements of what it is to be well physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritual wellness.
My work in this area continues to be “work in progress” as I navigate the world of book proposals but I do love the opportunity to speak about the topic and deliver workshops to workplaces and educational settings. If this is something you are interested in please contact me.
